themselves, esp during the game. But I haven't seen attacks that go beyond criticizing the coaches professionally. For me, I have to see a lot of quit before I criticize players.
That being said, I see those so emotionally invested in bashing the bashers as equally unhinged. With the money(BYU, I know) and glory comes the boos when a staff falls embarrassingly short of reasonable expectations. Like it or not, change sometimes only comes through vocal dissatisfaction. When done within the boundaries of fairness, sometimes an organization needs to hear opinions that make may make us uncomfortable.
I relate less to those who confirm the status quo out of a misguided sense of loyalty. What some see as disloyalty brings about change in an organization that is sometimes disconnected from reality and not used to being challenged. Whatever happens w the coaching staff, the msg has been clear.
