The whole university system is based on bailouts. You think the
English department makes enough money to support itself? How about the other athletic sports. Without football subsidizing them they would be toast. Why should football have to support those other entities? Tell them to get their house in order. Why doesn't the football program get to keep revenue generated through concession at their own games? It's all handouts, no reason whatsoever for the Church not to subsidize a flagship program at their own school.
