Very good points. Unfortunately, BYU cannot control what the emerging
market of college football will dictate in terms of athlete compensation. I really don't think it will stop at small stipends. As soon as all P5 conferences agree to, say, $10k per year, the SEC will raise the bar to $20k, and the race is on. BYU could not keep pace.
