you are completely ignoring the financial benefits of having a home - unless you have an alternative place to live that
is free - the financial benefits of living in a home are a material piece of the analysis.

You are taking one investment - ignoring a material piece of its economic benefits - and then comparing it to another investment using all of its economic benefit in your analysis. It's faulty logic.

And.. worth mentioning that you misunderstand the leverage piece of the equation too.
