I’m going to get thumbs downed for this but I don’t care. Sorry but something has got to change there. At some point people need your help. Washing your hands of their problems and telling them tough toast is NOT how you solve problems or concerns. It is not the gospel that we preach to leave the stricken man on the side of the road, but I have seen way too many instances of this from BYU - especially the admissions office.

I had multiple encounters similar to this (I won’t even share my dads story… which is an absolute sham) while I attended - including absolute flubs on BYUs end that would have killed my current career before it started. Do they care that they made the mistake? No, but they sure left me to deal with the consequences. They also refused to budge with ANY sort of help or assistance. It’s the most militant Pharisaical organization I’ve ever encountered and something needs to change. I left BYU with an absolute rotten taste in my mouth and honestly unless it changes I won’t recommend my kids to go there. The incompetence of the admissions office as well as the guidance counselors, and deans was appalling. The absolute lack of clear communication is asinine. I know I’m not the only one. I’m sorry this is happening but it doesn’t surprise me in the least.
