with most addictions. We go to Sunday School and hear "less grevious" sins downplayed with statements like, "not that what I did was that bad" or "it's just speeding" or "I got a little upset with my kids". It's hard for someone who is struggling with what may be a more serious sin to want to come forward and talk when it appears that nobody else has anywhere close to the same issues. The reality is that there are many who struggle and probably only some of them actually come forward and partake of the fullness of what the Gospel has to offer through the repentance process. It's tragic that anyone would choose to stop attending church rather than risk coming forward. Whether the risk is real or perceived, we should do everything in our culture to make it feel like there isn't any risk in repenting.
