I realize this isn't addressed to me, but, the reason I care that so many women
are choosing to work outside of the home is that society pays a terrible price when mothers aren't around to teach and nurture their children. Nannies, daycare workers, full-time babysitters, etc. are no substitute for a mother.
As stated in the church's proclamation regarding family:
"...we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets".
It's no coincidence that American culture began it's slow rot when mothers started to leave the home for the workplace en-mass.
