I've got 6 kids and my wife works full time.
Only 5 of my kids are in my home full time. One of them lives primarily with his mother, but I still see him at my house 4-5 days per week.
How do we manage?
Well, part of it is that my wife isn't like the average person. She rarely sits down before about 9:30PM at night. We also don't have the expectation that she'll do all of the housework. We clean laundry and dishes almost constantly.
My house would also be ready for a potential buyer to walk through it at almost any time. We don't make messes. I wonder if having a clean, orderly house makes us more efficient with other things.
She's also the first counselor in my ward's YW presidency so church keeps her quite busy.
Part of what makes it work could be that we don't sit at home and watch TV shows all night like some people must do. Football seasons are a bit rough though because I watch a lot of football. If she ever gets tired of it and leaves me, it will probably be between September and January. I don't carry as much of the load as I should while football is being played.
