I don't know what about the story wasn't clear. I wasn't giving an example of a couple that chooses to both work to afford entertainment they both choose (like yours).
I gave an example of a mother that wanted to stop working, but needed to work to pay for her husband's motorcycle.
You and your wife probably chose that expense together and use it together. Nothing wrong with your scenario and decision.
