Let's be clear about one thing, I'm not defending Bronco or suggesting there
is not anyone else out there who could do better. I firmly believe that BYU should do whatever they can do, including putting up a lot more money, to get a solid coaching staff and improving the program. I agree that it's what BYU deserves.

The reason I ask is that there is a limited pool of candidates since the BOT insists that the head coach be an active LDS member. So my question is this, how many candidates are really available? People on here have suggested people like Andy Reid or heaven forbid, Kyle Whittingham. That's just not realistic. I'm not sure that kalani Sitake is even a realistic candidate. While I do think he loves and respects BYU, I'm not sure he would leave Utah and on top of that, he has no head coaching experience.

So my reason for asking is because I'm trying to be realistic in understanding the difficulties that may be presented to Tom Holmoe in finding a replacement for Bronco. Perhaps the BOT needs to change their stance on the head coach being a member, but I don't know that is likely to ever happen.
