I like a lot of the current staff. I would hope a few of them are retained if
Bronco were to go. Specifically I would like Atuaia, 2J, Poppinga, and Holliday to be retained. I also think Beck has done a decent job, both in recruiting and in helping Hill and Stewart be ready to play. I actually don't mind Anae either, his offenses produce whether you like him or not.
I have always liked Bronco as HC but have become a bit indifferent about him staying or moving on from BYU. I feel like he adds the most value to the program if he is both HC and DC.
A coach that I would not be surprised to see come to BYU eventually as a position coach is former Ute Spencer Toone. He is currently the Co-DC and safeties coach at Idaho State. Great leader, He is LDS and doing a good job helping turn that program around. According to Nate Miekle, few years ago he wanted to come to BYU as a Football GA but someone was chosen instead of him, I don't remember who it was. But I see him moving up from where he is now to a bigger school soon. He has coached with both Urban Meyer at Florida and Gary Anderson at Utah State. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him come to BYU, Utah, Utah State, or somewhere bigger to be a position coach.
