Who do I get my ecclesiastical endorsement from if I have removed my name

From the records of the church? If I leave the church and am baptized as a born again christian I have one. But if I just leave the church I do not. I think this is the crux of the issue. I cannot get an ecclesiastical endorsement if I don't recognize anyone with that authority over me. At that point I am no different than others who have no ecclesiastical representative that can endorse them and am not eligible to attend BYU.
