Hmm. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree about that. Seems quite private to
me. It's between a person and his ecclesiastical leader(s). That's, like, the definition of private to me.

Plus, a person could let their disassociation be known publicly and still not be vocally anti -- at least not any more anti than an evangelical. And I guess that's what doesn't make sense about all of this. If a person quits the church b/c he doesn't believe the BofM, and assuming he's totally nice about it, how is his belief system any different from a catholic kid who is permitted to go to BYU? They have the same belief system and "publicly" (in the way that I'm using the word "publicly") they're attitute toward the church and expressions about it are exactly the same. Seems like an inconsistency to me. And I don't much like it.
