BYU has the "right" to whatever it wants (IMO). But as an institution of integri
ty, I personally would like to see it be consistent and fair to its students.

If we allow non-believing non-Mormon kids to attend BYU - assuming that they aren't actively trying to take down the church and are otherwise abiding by HC standards - I don't see why the rule should be different for someone who becomes a non-believer while there. Either way, we're talking about someone who doesn't believe in the doctrines of Mormonism, but who, for a million reasons, wants to attend BYU anyway. I just can't see why, all other things being equal, the two get treated differently.
