I have plenty of personal issues that I struggle with that are contrary to what

I believe God is OK with. If I thought the things I struggle with were OK with God, contrary to what Mormonism teaches, guess what, I'd stop being Mormon.

I am glad I am not a gay Mormon. If I were a gay Mormon and I thought it was OK with God, guess what, I'd stop being Mormon. I would not go to some rally condemning beliefs I fully understood and know are sincere convictions of members I grew up with.

Basically, I wouldn't be an idiot.
