Work-like balance doesn't have to mean that every day (or even every week) has

great balance. There could be times when you prioritize work for a week or two, sacrificing other things, and still have good work-life balance in the aggregate, as long as you're not constantly putting work at the top of the list.

I guess you just need to decide what type of work-life balance is important to you and what you're willing to give up for it. Same for the rest of us.
