You can rest assured I know the difference between 40 hours of hard work,
40 hours of goofing off, 70 hours of hard work, and 70 hours of goofing off.
The goofing off people don't last.
So we're left with people who bust their backsides for 40 hours, and people who bust their backsides 70.
I love both groups of employees, and am happy to be at a place where we welcome both types of employees. Not many employers are open to both types.
But we don't pay them identical amounts. That would be deeply unfair to the 70 hour folks.
