It wasn’t like this until about 6 months ago when the company entered fire drill
Mode.

Also, it’s not like she doesn’t explain what it is. It’s that she doesn’t explain why the deadline is tight.

We had one project in particular where there was a tight deadline and I did ask why as it wasn’t clear. She said “when I get a deadline from Bob (president of company) am I supposed to ask him why and if we can push it?”

That was telling to me. She doesn’t ask why/her boss hasn’t been working with her on when things are due. I don’t think she should all the time but if it seems absurd, I do think she should ask or push on a deadline personally. All the deadlines that exist Don’t come from him though.
