This isn’t a good market to cut and run plus, it sounds like there is a chance to grow. You 100% deserve specific feedback if you didn’t get a bonus. You should be direct, not rude, if you are being the why guy too much. The book Radical Candor is excellent at helping you improve communication with your boss and others.
As a manager of managers, it is exhausting to have to explain the why of everything. I try to give the why but what is exhausting is being doubted every time. It’s a trust issue. The surest way to get recognition and shine vs your peers is to make problems go away for your boss before they become problems, and then highlight what you did. I don’t know what you do and if it’s possible to anticipate the projects before the deadlines become tight but solving that would take a load off your boss’ mind.
