It's great in some ways, but it causes huge amounts of injuries, is absurdly complicated, takes a ton of expensive equipment, etc. Ve seen advertisements for clinics based around the fact they're open on Friday nights so you have somewhere to take your high schooler when he gets hurt during a game. There's a reason it will never catch on as a played sport in a meaningful way anywhere else.
Even in the US, boys' FB participation has been falling for at least a decade. Hard to see how creating a girls' league makes sense. If the desire is there, great, they should have a league. But do they have numbers that back it up?
