They do have equal opportunities but you can't force enough girls at enough schools to justify football. If there's
the interest & it grows to that level, the resources will be there. Soccer doesn't need the same budget football gets because there's a lot less equipment involved. Doesn't mean they aren't given the same opportunities. Every single sanctioned sport goes through this process. Girls football is not be treated differently and if it never grows to that level, keep playing rec in leagues. Fair and equal are not always the same thing.

I remember when girls soccer wasn't sanctioned by the UHSAA. Then they followed the rules, and built ground up.
