Sam Gorden isn't well liked in her own area..
Sam Gordon got famous because her dad posted a video of her playing football. She wasn't playing on the A1 or A2 team, or even the Super B team... she was on a bottom level B team. At the time, some Herriman age groups had over 8 B teams (Herriman was the largest district in the Ute Conference football league).
There are 100's of girls her age that could have done the exact same thing. They just don't want to play football.
I've been to dozens of Girls Rec League football games.. and there are some amazing players. However, there are only 100-ish girls from all over the valley that want to play rec league football.
The simple solution to this is easy.. Let them start signing up for 'Girls HS Football'. If they get enough schools with enough girls in each division (4A, 5A, 6A.. etc) then let them play (and PAY the same fee's the boys pay... $1kish).
However... They won't get enough teams to even play.

I remember when girls soccer wasn't sanctioned by the UHSAA. Then they followed the rules, and built ground up.
