The educational opportunity business seems like a lie for all but the revenue
sports — male or female.
Sports either pay for themselves or they don't. If they don't, then the same money could be used to support scholarships for disadvantaged students, without requiring that they spend countless hours on activities that hinder their academic achievement. Girls flag football will only be a money drain — same as most male and female sports.
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the NFL announced in May that women’s flag football will become a nationally recognized college varsity sport by 2021. That opportunity could be life changing for young girls and their path toward receiving a college education, Welter said.

I remember when girls soccer wasn't sanctioned by the UHSAA. Then they followed the rules, and built ground up.
