Maybe any lack of interest is due to the historic unavailability of football for
girls?
I have no illusions that if a high school offered girls football, 100 girls would immediately sign up to play. But I do think that over time, more and more girls would be interested--similar to what happened with basketball.

I remember when girls soccer wasn't sanctioned by the UHSAA. Then they followed the rules, and built ground up.
