Cheer isn’t a sanctioned sport nor is dance I think.
Drill might be. But as of what is sanctioned right now there is a big difference between boys and girls and most of it comes from football.

I remember when girls soccer wasn't sanctioned by the UHSAA. Then they followed the rules, and built ground up.
