I think the requirement is 25 players to officially have a team.
.. people think it will take money away from 'boys' football.
but it won't. The girls will have to pay their fees just like every other sport. My kids last year of HS football the fee was $1k + $2k for a travel game to play a CA team.

I remember when girls soccer wasn't sanctioned by the UHSAA. Then they followed the rules, and built ground up.
