Recent Football sucess played no role. Academic rankings? BYU is a better undergrad institution and

was not really a consideration. I have already point out the research university status. From a making money point BYU was better. It just didn't fit. I don't blame them for it, but that's what it came down to. If you take away the fit issues, who goes? No way Utah and Colorado over BYU.
