When I say my department is better, and that it is not even close, that does sound dismissive. I am sorry about that. It comes from people not believing that there can be very serious programs at a church-sponsored school that does not have a graduate program in my area. Anyway, that does not mean there are some really good programs at the U, and I know that there are. Wouldn't it be great if the two universities could be in the same conference again?
