....there are many that are great people and great members of the church. There is always a vocal minority that get the attention, it is not as many as you make it out to be.

If it were that appalling and supporting Utah meant you supported the idiotic minority (and their comments) that said stupid anti comments that the brethren of church would be active in their support for Utah? Would they be Utah fans or support the University? Why would they give money to the University?

There are idiots everywhere, it is just more obvious in an area concentrated with members of the church and on the other end more anti-mormon. There are any ignorant comments everywhere no reason to be offended and cast a shadow over all those good people by idiots.

I personally love BYU and what it stands for. At the same time I realize BYU football does not equal “the Lord’s football team”. I also realize BYU has its oddities and “strange” people as well, which I hope never to be judged against.
