As is the case with many, if not all, apostate or inactive LDS they left due to their distaste particular to an event with the church. Oftentimes because of things similar to what Plato posted. If that wasn't the case then I'm not sure why he felt it necessary to include it, but the fact he did IMO says a lot about the source of the issue.

For me it's about psychology and relates back to his initial post. I prefer to try and address the issue rather than whatever is floating on the surface, like a silly anonymous message board post that triggered his reaction to post what he did.
