you are absolutey right. It doesn't affect my salvation. It doesn't have to affect me at all. I just don't like the way it makes my religion look when a certain player who shall not be named gets caught stealing with drugs and other things on his person... and he's wearing a BYU shirt.

Does that have to affect me? Absolutely not. I could choose not to care about sports, and not to read things or participate in comment boards such as this. I could certainly be more understanding and empathetic of BYU and all those associated with it.

My intent isn't to blame anyone for anything. I was just responding to someone that said they didn't think someone with a viewpoint like me should/could exist.
