Being obnoxious is a valued trait on CB.
Your membership status or lack thereof is not a criteria for BYU fandom. I have several friends & distant relative who have cheered for BYU over the years but either weren't members or were far less than active members.
That being said, if you consider CB members as obnoxious, I would kindly suggest that you visit a couple other fan sites to see how we compare. Suggestions, a yewt fan board, a Wyo fan board, and perhaps a Big12 or SEC fan board. You might find us quite mellow in comparison.
