Maybe that's just me (and a number of others), but it honestly has a Gustin feel where they throw a fuss over local recruitment because they want to be wanted, but had stars in their eyes all along. I think he's been eyeing P5 no matter what. More attention would result in a nod giving props to BYU but that's it.
Either way, my biggest point was that too many people throw an absolute fit over local recruiting. I don't think it's as bad as some, especially parents/friends/whoever is connected to the kid, want to make it sound. Can't please everyone. And the big time recruits usually don't stay and aren't interested in EITHER school. BYU needs to get what they can, know where to draw the line, and go elsewhere. Even if it's boosters being whiny about recruiting such and such underrated local kid.
That and the gripe about the lack of kids the same caliber of Ritchie. Three of them were in the same class and them plus Wilson were all equal to or higher caliber than Ritchie.
