Being in a P5 conference has its benefits.
Players at Stanford get 4 credits per semester for playing football (BYU players get 1/2 credit per semester). You only need 12 credits per semester to meet NCAA full-time requirement. So a player at Stanford only really needs to take 3 classes during the fall to ease their academic load during the season. (you'll need to double up some semesters if you plan on graduating.. but still)
