Fair enough. I guess I just see him in the "Weddle Role"
I do agree to say that he will be Weddle may be premature.
But I see him thriving in Utah's defense in the Weddle/RoJo/Williams/Hansen/Blair/Blackmon role. He could be the QB of the defense and be in a position to thrive. With that DL and LB core ahead of him, and Utah's ability to get man CB's on the outside, Ritchie would thrive and could just make plays.
Chase Hansen without the injuries (hopefully). Marquis Blair without the targeting. Blackmon without the years of development. Marcus Williams. Eric Weddle. RoJo.
There is a lot of NFL players that played and excelled in that role and he could be another one of the standout safeties.
