I don’t think that’s the case...
but things can happen that make kids think differently than they did before. A kid could live BYU but if they looked at the situation there, and situation can mean a lot of different things coaching, opportunity at their position, the way BYU might want to use them, the HC, academics are tough, maybe they just came to realize they’d like to try living somewhere else, there’s a ton of things that could play into it.

The thing I now realize that I didn’t used to realize when I was just a fan is that there’s more to it than just loving BYU. As a fan we only really care that we love our school and team and if someone else choose something else they didn’t “really love” it. That isn’t true, these decisions affect a kids life for the rest of his life. You can love BYU and come to the realization that it isn’t the best place for you.
