You reminded me of something I've posted before...
I was involved in a community event in the Glendale/Popular Grove area of SLC. Much of the youth, teens and adults in the Polynesian community that came out, wore Yewt gear. You'd hardly see any BYU Shirts, hats, sweats etc.
After Sitake was hired, I noticed the next time this event rolled around, that there was a LOT of BYU gear, Much more BLUE than red. Last year it was a little slanted to the yewts.
This year much more Red and Yewt gear. It had swung back to red... It bummed me out man... I think most of the kids in that part of town go to East High.

I think this is a frequent excuse families use in order to justify big timing BYU. If you don’t want to play here, fine.
