Growing up in Utah in the 80’s and 90’s most byu fans at school would get made fun of. Mostly because the reputation of the school back then being so goody goody, but it was not in style to wear any byu gear to school ever at any school I attended. It was almost like you were advertising that you were a nerd. There were fans of course, but most of us didn’t wear the gear as it was not cool at all.
