The other local universities do a better job of staying in contact with local schools and kids. When my oldest son, now 23, was in elementary school, in Southern Utah County, Max Hall visited the school and arrived in a Helicopter. My son thought that was so cool. That was the last time any of my children have seen any athletes or, frankly speaking, any representative for BYU.

And to those who continue to arrogantly say that it's because so and so didn't get into BYU, it's comments and thinking like that that drives people away from BYU. I have a brother in law who loves BYU Football (so much that he's a major financial donor), but will tell you that he really, really dislikes BYU.
