it doesn't help that 90% of the kids who get accepted to BYU are nerds

the academic standards are so ridiculously high now - only high achieving nerds and weirdos get in.
There is nothing "cool" about BYU as compared to our secular rival.

Full disclosure - my daughter just got accepted. She played 2 sports and has 3.99 GPA.
So yes, she's a high achieving nerd/weirdo.
