Some of the logos (not necessarily stretch Y) are VERY similar
Check the Block BYU and Block Y secondary logos. Those are secondary logos, same as the Stretch Y (which can only be used for athletics)

I've got no dog in this fight about who thinks what about what logos, but there definitely are some BYU and Yale logos that look VERY similar and could be easily confused, even by folks who support one institution or the other.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if this is one reason that BYU has gone to the Stretch Y logo as the primary one for athletics. Other (non-sports) BYU material obviously still has the similar appearance as Yale
