Why? Better to die on a vent than off? Or do patients that sick still get off
on occasion?
I don't know the data super well, just second hand banter from a pulm friend who mocked the frenzy last year over running out of vents, because he felt a vent was as good as a bullet for his struggling covid patients. Maybe it's gotten better?

Not in Idaho, but we had 3 patients under 28 die in our hospital over the weekend. A 4th who was thirty died at home.
