No - you don't understand that with fewer unvaxxed people he would never have...
...been in the situation to begin with. He would've never left retirement. Would not have been working in the hospital with people sick with COVID. And may or may not have ever gotten COVID himself.
There's obviously no certainty as to whether or not he may have caught the illness from someone else.
But there is certainty that if more people were vaccinated there would be fewer people running around sick getting other people sick. And there is certainty that if there were significantly fewer people being hospitalized for COVID, he would not have felt the need to leave retirement and return to health care - in an environment exposing himself to a higher percentage of people with COVID than you find in the general population.

Not in Idaho, but we had 3 patients under 28 die in our hospital over the weekend. A 4th who was thirty died at home.
