increase in numbers. Covid is insanely contagious. Delta even more so.
So, the reason there are more case nkw than there were a year ago is probably just a function of that - the virus is spreading, and it’s so very contagious that it’s spreading a lot.
If we didn’t have a vaccine, it would be spreading even more. But even with one it’s spreading a lot.
So, I guess the argument people are making is based on some chronological correlation - cases are going up and so is vaccination, therefore vaccination is causing spread. But that’s just correlation. Lots of things correspond chronologically. That doesn’t means that causally connected.
As for other countries, idk. But I bet it has something to do with vaccination rates, and something to do with different vaccines. They’re probably not all created equal.
