How can you honestly say “if you are unvaccinated and get it and die, that’s on you” but at the same time say we have to burn our resources on these folks and deny care to others because they jellybeans are taking up all the space?
I’m advocating the same thing but making it real. You say it, but don’t believe it and don’t want to see it in practice. What I said is the reality of the flippant statement “that’s on you”. If it’s really on them, then why spend $100k of Medicare dollars, dedicated precious manpower and hospital resources, and then when it fails and they die say, “meh, it’s his fault. It’s on him”. Meanwhile your nurses are dropping like flies, necessary surgeries are being delayed, and other non Covid people are getting hurt by lack of resources.
If it’s on them, let them sit in a tent on oxygen outside the hospital until they get better or die. Don’t wimp out.
