Obesity is entirely different.
You can’t compare the two.

But it is worth a conversation. Why can’t we let people suffer the consequences of choices?

You know full well the data on this vaccine. No one is hiding anything from you. You are making a fully informed decision and choosing to take a route that you know can lead to ICU admission or death. Many in this camp are now saying “if I die, I die”. Why is it our responsibility to interfere with that outcome if it doesn’t bother the person enough to get a shot? Especially in the setting of other people not getting adequate care because of this preventable disease.

If you asked every obese person out there if they could reduce their obesity by 90% with a single shot, given to them for free, I bet they’d take it.

I think this conversation can open people’s eyes to the consequences of making this decision. Just like if we charged people a health insurance premium based on BMI, we’d see some improvement in lifestyle.
