If your household income is less than $150k, Stanford tuition is free. It’s the
same at a lot of Ivy League schools—considered a full tuition needs based scholarship. That being said, BYU undergrad is still probably cheaper due to the cost of living. You would have to crunch those numbers to find out.

Loved my BYU experience, but I know it isn’t for everyone. More important than attending a religious school is whether a person is truly converted. If so, it doesn’t matter where they go. A religious school can help if not converted. BYU is where my wife felt her testimony grow just because she started going to devotional with her roommates. She admits she would probably have gone inactive if she went to the small liberal arts schools she was considering in her home state.

So, if your daughter is truly converted and has that connection with God to guide her, she’ll probably be fine wherever she goes. My son is going to the Y in the fall. I’m really hoping something clicks for him while he is there.
