My son just finished his first year at SDSM&T. He went to play football but it is an incredible engineering school. If her grades and SAT are that good she probably would qualify for scholarships. They have a 99% placement in their field after graduation. There's only 3000 kids on campus so classes are are small and they get great hands on experience. Upper level classes have 10-15 students.
The ward he attends is really, really great. There aren't many kids that are members but the ward takes care of the students. My son built great relationships with the Bishop and Elders Q. president. It's pretty far from home but the education is really great.
