we have to push more out the door. Especially if they are willing to go back to walk-on status. When moving a player from walk-on to scholarship, we should make it clear they may go back to walk-on and it isn't a demotion. And with all the guys we seem to have ran off over the last couple of years, the following doesn't make sense to me: We still have depth problems and we aren't filling those depth needs with the replacement players.
I haven't ever really been a fan of recruiting over and cutting players, but I've been willing to tolerate it on a limited basis and feel bad for the guys it impacts. It seems to me that the big time programs don't do this in large numbers.
