The tough thing here is that we will probably never see the other side of the story.
Is it tough personally for Beo to (seemingly) be cut? Obviously it would be. He is very disappointed no doubt.

But at the same time, he was a walk-on to begin with, and was only later gifted (for lack of a better word) a scholarship. It would be one thing if Dave Rose got up and said Beo was a fat loser who never will amount to much in life. But not renewing a scholarship? How can you expect more? It is very much a two way street. BYU is not a charity. That is the tough reality of life.

I was at BYU when Nick Martineau was getting his MS in statistics. He was a very nice dude. But he also rode the bench on the basketball team for a reason. It does not diminish who he was as a person.
